The greek is “kai theos en ho logos” which is translated directly as “and God was the word”. Which is to say “the word was God”. There is no word “a” there in the original language.

The older Bibles say the Word was a god. Not the G-d. That is the true translation, th ea makes a huge difference. In the commandments- Do not worship any other god than Him.

Luke 21:8 He said “Look out that you are not mislead; for many will come on the basis of my name, saying I am he,’ and the due time has approached.” Do not go after them.

You are correct… God is the ruler of all…there is only One Lord, one faith, one baptism. There are not three separate beings, only one. God robed himself in flesh and came to earth as Jesus… so the flesh was Jesus, but the spirit inside him was the perfect God. The Holy Ghost is God dwelling within us as sinners saved by grace. “In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the WORD WAS GOD… and the word (God) became flesh and dwelt among us… St. John 1:1

=) Christianity is not about perfection or religion. (It is defined as a religion only by human definition of the word)… because it is followed by humans… who are full of mistakes and evil… but because we belong to God and accept His son Jesus, we don’t have to claim bondage to those sins…not an excuse to be a hypocrite, but merely that we will all continue to fail and disappoint, but we will continue to pick ourselves up and try to constantly improve. Not religion…peace.

Very very good.

I was a little disappointed that you cut out some of the song talking about how he walked the valley of death- referring to the loss of his little girl. That is the part of the song that grabbed my attention and encouraged me as I have gone through loss as well.

John 1:1 says the Word was with G-d. That was Jesus, He was G-d’s first creation before the heavens & the eat=rth & before all the other angels. He was G-d’s favorate of all. Then when Jesus was resurrected he was higher than any other angel in heaven He stands a the right hand of G-d. When Satin was cast out of heaven Jesus became King.
