Why is hip hop music used so much when advertising for the NBA?
Why is Hip Hop the choice of music used when you see commercials and previews for NBA Games? Why don’t they use Rock music?

it seems as the fans and players listen to hip hop so the nba chooses it, and i dont understand why people listen to that nonsense..
but i do recall them using a bonjovi song last year..
on a side note i think they should start using old school hip hop and not this mainstream pop/r&b/rap sell out crap. programmed drums suck!
keep it real people, its not about being "iced out" and having spinning rims..
why cant they rap about something else? the record companies would drop them..theyre just being used

Most basketball fans are urban, and most urban people prefer hip hop.
