Cheryl Cole Style Icon
Friday, July 22nd, 2011Many have doubted whether the reality-show format actually works for producing big-name stars of the future, and if you were to cite Big Brother or I’m a Celebrity; Get Me Out Of Here you’d probably have a valid claim. But if you were instead to mention shows such as Pop Idol or later X-Factor, then it would be impossible to get midway through such a claim without being stopped dead by the mention of the name Cheryl Cole.
The singer shot to fame as the lead singer of the manufactured girl band ‘Girls Aloud’, which was formed with the conclusion of Popstars the Rivals, on which Cheryl Cole was a part. After achieving worldwide success with the band, she went on to produce her own number one albums as a solo performer and has been a regular headliner both with the press and in fashion circles, always causing a stir with her style and fiery temper.
Before being replaced by Nicole Sherzinger on the judging panel for the 2011 US X-Factor, Cole was seen in Chicago sporting a Alice & Olivia-style cap and red/white checked coat with navy shorts. Cole has never been a stranger to standing out, as her outfit of purple flares, orange blouse, cyan belt, and huge hair proved during auditions for the X-Factor tour and the look has been copied by others, such as Jessica Alba at the CFDA Awards recently.
Her career took a slight hit when she was replaced by Nicole Sherzinger for 2011′s US version of X-Factor but she has, as ever, bounced back. Not one to stand in the background, she is not totally averse to showing her fun side and has even donned purple flares combined with an orange blouse, turquoise belt, and crazily huge hair in order to tease a crowd expecting glamour. It was a joke that some took a little too seriously, though, as Jessica Alba showed when she appeared wearing the exact same attire; even Cole’s fashion mishaps create copycats.
It is impossible to talk about the fashion of Cheryl Cole, though, without mentioning her great love for jewellery and accessories which she uses to complete her many looks. Not even the dangerous disease malaria could stop her from turning out for expert jewellers Grisogono to launch a designer range of rings entitled ‘Promise’ in 2010. Perhaps a sign of things to come when Cole sensationally took back cheating footballer Ashley Cole, making him promise to play his games at home from now on.
Her reunion with footballer Ashley Cole recently has left some people wondering if she isn’t feeling a little vulnerable right now because of the X-Factor axe but it seems that she has salvaged the relationship and is now concentrating on getting things back to normal. Perhaps that clear-out of jewellery she’d received from him as gifts was a little rash in hindsight, but at the same time it might be good for her, and him, to have a fresh start.
In its place, Cole has adopted the increasingly popular jewellery brand Bibi Bijoux showing that her recent break-up hasn’t impacted on her fashion-sense at least. Consisting of charms and bangles, styled with skulls of all things, they’re set to be the knock-out must-have of the summer and now that Cole has been seen wearing them mid-June it’s almost a certainty to be a hit in wider circles.
So a busy year of highs and lows for the fashion-conscious singer, but perhaps it will be a year of fresh starts and other things as she is now free to pursue other projects elsewhere such as her solo career and her fashion interests, as well as other shows. Given her status, it is unlikely we’ve heard the last of Cheryl Cole and it will not be long before she has risen again.

Get Serious About Playing An Instrument Go To Music School
Wednesday, November 10th, 2010The horn or string instrument resting in the closet is not going to play itself without someone picking it up. If once talent existed to start basic lessons then a little extra effort might mean proficiency. If on the other hand the sounds coming out were not what were expected, lessons at a music school might help.
Whether a desire to become a professional or entertain guests with selections, playing properly and on key is important. The ability to read music opens up a world of selections from classic to show tunes. Under personal direction and performance there is appreciation for the player and the listener. The idea of playing well is not far fetched, if the willingness to practice and follow instructions is present.
For the child that wants to play or participates in a school program where time for separate instruction has become necessary, individual assistance provides an answer. Learning techniques and methods from experienced teachers relieves the stress of having to assimilate principles while participating at the same time.
Attempts to build local orchestras that perform for the pleasure of the event need not be limited by the range of artists that participate. Get up to speed and move in the chairs to featured positions by increasing personal skills through instruction and practice. Often the conductor doubles as the teacher but with the pressure of impending performance dates their time is limited. Individual initiative includes other methods to improve ability and professional help is available.
Relax and ease tensions while getting the chance to play pieces that were old favorites or those that guests might want to hear. If close to becoming a paid performer but lacking the final touches to move to the next level, improve chances for success with Ecole Musique Montreal training. Taylor the program that meets needs whether at a basic, intermediary or advanced level.

Nicki Minaj will be promoting her mix tape, ‘Beam Me Up Scotty’ and says she is looking forward to getting back on the road with her Young Money family. Drake was expected to give a sneak peek of a few of his tracks from his anticipated debut album, ‘Thank Me Later,’ but that may be put on hold due to a recent knee injury. He hopes that the intensive acupuncture treatments he has been getting and with the help of a knee brace, he may be able to get on stage at least a few times during the tour. Drake felt that even if he travels with the tour, he can at least show that he is there for the rest of them for support. He was to perform a 30 minute set of his own as part of the show but he feels he may have to cut his stage time.
According to reports from the opening night in Scranton the tour kicked off with a bang leaving the fans in the PA town ready for and wanting more. Jeremih and Pleasure P started off the show with their sexy sultry tunes followed up by Soulja Boy with loads of energy setting the mood for the remainder of the night. The ladies in the crowd raised their voices to sing along when ‘Kiss Me through the Phone’ began to play, but the ultimate show stopper for Soulja Boy was during ‘Turn My Swag On’, when he began tossing $100 bills to the fans in the audience!
Young Jeezy kept up the crowds enthusiasm and his street team handed out items like towels and stickers to promote his upcoming LP. Then it was time for the headliner, Lil Wayne to come alive on stage, and that he did. The fans stood on seats and armrests of their chairs to have the best view possible when Lil Wayne appeared on stage. A large compliment of singers performed that evening and the entire family was onstage for the final song, ‘My Girl’ with the audience singing along.
This sounds like a concert that fans will not want to miss; so be sure to check you favorite ticket distributor and get the dates that they will be in the city near you. The show promises not to disappoint and will leave you wanting more and more and more!
