Have you ever wondered if a classical musician would like rock or hip hop music?
Lol. i’ve asked that question for so long but i just realized a few days ago that i played the piano. I’m so stupid. And yes, I do like rock music.

i play classical saxophone, and i hate rap…i love all kinds of music except country and rap/hip hop/r&b/reggeton….and i dont think classically trained musicians would like rap, cuz thats just not music, or emo rock cuz thats all just power chords nothin interesting goin on there… the trained ear would enjoy music like reggae because its so complex or salsa or merengue… but to all ppl that can hear what goes on in songs and can hear every instrument used, i advice you to listen to The John Butler Trio, they are just AMAZING!!!

Take Tom Jones for example he did a cover of ”The Reason” by Hoobastank (i don’t like Hoobastank by the way) but this is a pretty good example.

I doubt if a real classical musician can enjoy rock or pop music. It’s just one more branch of music, they can listen to rock or pop just to compare with classical one but they won’t feel much desire to listen to it all the time.

I play the violin and i love Rock, especialy 80s. I have a friend that plays the viola and she loves Green day and linkin park. My cousin plays the violin she loves The Red Hot Chili Peppers. I also have a friend that plays the cello and he loves metallica. My favorite band is Bon Jovi. Take a good look at Apocalyptica, they play cello and Perform with the biggests Rock stars of all time. Dave Farrell from linkin Park plays the violin, cello, and Bass. Steven Tyler from Aerosmith also plays the violin, and David Bryand from Bon Jovi plays the piano and violin. I’m not sure about Hip Hop, but i Know that many Classical musicians like rock.
