It looks like Trent Reznor was serious about NIN being finished as a touring band because lots of NIN touring gear is being put up on EBay (so far it looks to be all guitars.)
I’m including some of the active Nine Inch Nails gear auctions below, or you can CLICK HERE to see all [...]

Amazon is having some more of those “lightning deals” in celebration of “Cyber Monday” (similar to the deals they had on “Black Friday.”)
These are the upcoming deals on CDs that you may want to check out (the prices are ridiculously low but the quantities are also low, so you have to act quickly.) The [...]

First let me define what I mean by “rated” (because without doing that, “underrated” doesn’t mean much.) I’m talking specifically about the “ratings” of people in the US because some of these bands are actually quite highly rated in the UK (The Stone Roses & Oasis being obvious examples.) I’m talking about a combination of [...]

While his old comrades act like aliens, ex-Beta Band vocalist Steve Mason’s kept himself busy with the ongoing King Biscuit Time and then his Black Affair moniker. Taking a look at his website and MySpace, though, it turns out this airy new track from the forthcoming Richard X-produced Boys Outside is surfacing under his given name.

Mrs. Gibbard told MTV the new She & Him’s done and will be out in 2010: “It’s official. It’s done and being released in the spring. And we’re going to go on tour.” Also, they’re definitely continuing the “Volume” title concept. More at TwentyFourBit.

On Friday we noted Ted Leo’s much anticipated and ostensibly hardcore-influenced Matador debut was going to be titled The Brutalist Bricks. That came straight from the Jersey dude’s mouth when he also let us know:
[I]t’s 13 songs, some of which we’ve been playing for a little while, and some of which are completely new. There’s some overflow, too, so I’m sure we’ll try and find something to do with extra tracks.
You’ve heard a couple of those 13 songs, “Last Days” and an acoustic “One Polaroid A Day.” Now you can take a listen to a proper studio track, “Even Heroes Have To Die,” while you check out the handsome album art, which made me think of Today’s Active Lifestyles until I realized I was color blind. The song? Plenty of lyrical punch and more than a few “oh ohhh”’s ripe for a fist pump or three.

Two years ago Damon Albarn told NME that Gorillaz wouldn’t make any more pop records. But you know better than to take Damon’s word on the future of his endeavors. In a recent interview with the Guardian he says his cartoon band’s next LP has a title (Plastic Beach, because “the idea that plastic, we see it as being against nature but it’s come out of nature. We didn’t create plastic, nature created plastic.”) is “going really well.” He also confirmed a bunch of other details, like the guest list (Lou Reed, Mos Def, Barry Gibb, and Bobby Womack), and that it features seagulls, and that not only is it a pop record, but it’s the “most pop record he has ever made.” OK! Additionally Albarn is working on a Royal Opera House-commissioned “proper” opera with Alan Moore (Watchmen), and a trio project with Flea and Tony Allen (last seen with Damon on The Good, The Band & The Queen). And while Blur has decided to let Pavement soak up all that good U.S.-reunion-tour money, at least we’ll get this:

“Crimes of the Mind > Pebbles and Marbles” is a perfect example of how this band is operating these days. Keep it up, boys…
The band takes two nights off and then plays three sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden to close out the week. I wish I could be there for those shows, so you’ll probably see me online and attending the concert in spirit.

This Black Star reunion from the night before Thanksgiving features DP’s Amber and Haley along with the Roots on “History” from Mos’s The Ecstatic LP. A(nother) hat tip to the Fallon show for doing awesome things on the somewhat regular.
